INTERCESSORY PRAYER
The intercessory prayer meeting is designed to present specific needs of the church before the throne of grace. Our meetings may be guided by the subjective direction of the Holy Spirit, but we generally have five specific components in each meeting:
- Inform each other of any prayer requests that may be new to some of the intercessors.
- Present ourselves to God acknowledging his sovereignty and praising Him for His works.
- Pray for the worldwide move of the Holy Spirit primarily emphasizing missionaries that we support as a church family.
- Pray for our nation and those placed in authority over us.
- Pray for grace to accomplish the mission of New Heritage Church, and we also intercede for the needs of the members of our church.
Intercessory meetings are held on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8:00 – 9:30 am at our Church Center. Intercession is also a central part of The Dwelling Place, held each Wednesday evening at 7:30 at the Church Center.
THE INTERDENOMINATIONAL INTERCESSORS NETWORK
The Interdenominational Intercessor's Network (IIN) (of Maryland) is a statewide link for those involved in the Ministry of Intercession. The purpose of the IIN is to gather intercessors together to:
Provide Strategic Prayer Alerts - city, county and statewide
Set up an organized prayer watch 24 hours a day, six days a week for church leadership, congregations, the citizens of our city, counties and statewide.
Help congregations raise up a prayer shield around their leadership.
Hold strategic prayer journeys as the Holy Spirit leads in our communities.
Connect intercessors together as One Praying Voice for revival and evangelism.
Promote proper interaction between intercessors and leadership within the church.
Equip intercessors to be able to pray even more effectively.
Stand in the gap, pleading the cause of the people unto God and praying strategically for God’s purposes.
Strengthen the core of the local church through strategic Intercession.

HOWARD COUNTY PRAY
If you live, work or worship in Howard County, you share some concerns with every countian; fire and police protection, trash collection, snow removal, to name a few.
As a Christian in the county you share additional concerns with other Christians; blessing the poor and hurting; blessing the teachers and students; protecting the fire, rescue and police personnel; blessing pastors and congregations across the county; and seeing revival come, among others.
Each month, Howard County PRAY asks a person involved in some area of county life to help us know how to pray into that area; to assist in focusing on needs, challenges, opportunities in education, county services, etc.
On another day each month we pray for pastors and congregations, for revival and direction for the Church in the county.
We invite you to come pray with us. If you are not able, but would like to pray with us for the county topics, we send a monthly newsletter.
